Princess Dot had a rough start. She was abandoned by her feral mother when she was just one week old and her back leg was missing from below the knee from either an injury or a birth defect. She was rescued by a very nice lady who bottle fed her and loved her. Unfortunately, she fell onto hard times and had to give Princess Dot away. Eventually she went to the Seal Beach Animal Care Center, who in turn brought her in to see Dr. Kim.
Dr. Kim took a look at Princess Dot and found that not only was part of the leg missing, but that the remaining knee had been dislocated and was likely causing Princess Dot pain. Dr. Kim was able to amputate the remaining leg and Princess Dot was up and running around just hours after surgery. She is a sweet girl, and just wanted her head rubbed even after her surgery.
