Ever had a hair stuck in your eye? Poor Baby was born with most of her upper eyelids missing on both eyes, which caused the fur above to grown in towards her corneas. The condition resulted in irritation, watery eyes, and a lot of discomfort for Baby. Luckily for Baby, she was found by Seal Beach Animal Care Center. However, after trying multiple topical medications and therapy, Baby was still suffering. They brought her in to see Dr. Tani, who saw how much pain Baby was in.

She had surgery to elevate the skin at the margin of her eyes to keep the fur from growing down, into her corneas. Dr. Tani also went ahead and spayed Baby and implanted a microchip at the same time. After her “face lift”, Baby has not needed any additional eye drops or topical medications. Her eyes are no longer irritated, and she is so happy and just wants to play all day.
